Who we are
First and foremost, we are a community chorus dedicated to providing the best singing experience to interested and talented singers throughout the Aiken area. Our repertoire is wide – from early music to last year’s hit movie theme. Brahms in German, Puccini in Italian, or John Williams in English – we celebrate the best in composition and we welcome you to join us. Our Board of Directors has a long history – over 40 years – of hiring outstanding and highly-qualified Artistic Directors who believe in our mission to inspire you - our singers and our audiences - through the performance of music of all eras.
FAQs for Singers Interested to Join us
We welcome interested singers to join us near the start of each semester (August and January). Please contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org) at any time to arrange an audition.
Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7 to 9 pm. Check the For Our Singers page for the location and any important announcements.
Singing members should be able to match pitch and follow the Director's instructions. The ability to read music is desired, but for the highly-motivated member, not required.
Our season is divided into two semesters – Winter (end of August through mid-December) and Spring (January through mid-May).
Dues are $30 per semester, and there are no extra music fees.
We’re more than just a chorus...we are a caring community of musicians who love to sing.

Board of Directors Meetings
Third Monday of each month. Meetings begin at 6 pm at the same location as the rehearsal which follows immediately. All meetings are free and open to the public.
If you are interested to serve on our Board of Directors, please contact us. We serve three-year terms (no more than two consecutively) and meet once per month for one hour.
Please note that Board members are expected to donate to ACS in an amount of their choosing. For singing members of the board, your $30 dues each semester fulfills this commitment.
